It's time to think of Mothers Day flowers again.

One of my favorite times of year is the day when the trees in my back yard begin to sprout their leaflings. I'm always amazed that one day I can see through the bare-limbed trees all the way back to the main road, and the next day my view is obscured by the most verdant green.

Today was that day. And to me, that means Mothers Day is coming. I'm bad with calendars and the days always seem to rush by. Before I had Mother Nature's reminder to prod me - an inside job I think - I sometimes rushed out at the last minute for that perfect bouquet, only to settle for some cheap flowers left over in the rush. But no more.
